National Association of the Remodeling Industry Greater Fort Worth Chapter (NARI Greater Fort Worth)

NARI, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, offers certification programs to its members. Certified members must demonstrate practical experience and commitment to professionalism and high ethical standards.

All NARI certified remodeling professionals must participate in a combination of continuing education, association activities, community service, and/or other industry related activities

Those receiving certification are required to complete and pass an extensive written examination. In addition, the participants' past records of training, education, experience and accomplishments are documented and evaluated by the national NARI Certification Board. The award goes to those individuals who have served the home improvement industry for a minimum of five years, upheld the standards of the NARI Code of Ethics, and have demonstrated competence in the basic areas of remodeling.

"CR" (Certified Remodeler) - is for general construction work, both residential and/or commercial. This designation includes remodelers with knowledge and skills in a broad range of remodeling areas. Individuals with the CR designation are recognized as experienced ethical remodelers with skills and knowledge in all aspects of the remodeling industry.

"CRA" (Certified Remodeler Associate) - Individuals who work within the remodeling industry, such as suppliers, designers, manufacturers, insurance companies, financial institutions and appraisers. CRAs are professionals who work hand in hand with remodelers. All CRAs are fully trained remodeling experts.

"CRS" (Certified Remodeler Specialist) - Individuals having this designation are recognized as experienced, ethical remodelers who are particularly skilled and knowledgeable in a specific area of the remodeling industry. Some of the industry specialties this designation applies to are concrete/masonry electrical, insulation, mechanical systems, plumbing, roofing and siding.

All of the NARI Certifications require the same high standards of performance and go through the same testing procedure. Working with NARI Certified Remodelers is a guarantee of excellence. Only truly experienced and dedicated professionals are able to earn the distinction of calling themselves Certified Remodelers.
